Marcum Trail: is used for soil, vegetation, surface runoff, stream flow and landform analysis. East of the Marcum Center and along the flood-plain along Four-Mile Creek is used for soil studies.

 

Harkers Run is used for watershed delineation studies

                            

Peffer Park: Topics covered in the field include land-use history (based on air photo
analysis and field observation) vegetation analysis and soil analysis related to runoff rates and infiltration. The Park is also used as a location for a site design project.
 

Bachelor Woods:  Selected areas are used for ground truthing.       

                       

Kramer Woods, the Ecology Research Center Woods, and the Western Woods have all
been used for soil, compass reading, map interpretation and forest population studies.
