LITERARY COMPETITION FOR FIRST-YEAR STUDENTS

Attention First-Year Students!
Now that you have had a full semester to experience what Miami University has to offer, it's time to tell us what you think!
Alpha Delta Phi Fraternity is hosting a literary competition cosponsored by the Howe Writing Center. There will be cash prizes for the three best entries; $300 for first, $200 for second, and $100 for third place.
The topic for the competition is a "Letter to the Dean of Students." The subject matter should reflect an original idea that you think would enhance the first year experience. Applicants will be judged on creativity and writing skill.
Writing Specifications:
Length: Between 500 and 750 words
Subject: Improving the first-year experience
Please include:
- Your name
- Phone number
- Major
- Hometown
Alle entries should be emailed to schradem@muohio.edu by March 31, 2010. When you email your entry to the given address, please make the subject line: "Lit competition, Last Name."
Winners will be announced in early April with a banquet to recognize the contest's winners. Any questions can also be directed to schradem@muohio.edu.
