WRITING BOOT CAMP FOR GRADUATE STUDENTS |
Boot Camp is a great way to launch your writing on major projects, such as a thesis, dissertation, grant proposal, or manuscript for publication. It enables you to devote an entire day during spring break exclusively to writing. The Howe Writing Center will provide a quiet place, power for your computer, and breaks and lunch for you.
Who may participate?
To participate, you must be a graduate student who is willing to commit to spending an entire day at Camp.
When is Boot Camp?
Friday, March 12
What is the daily schedule?
| 7:00 am | Doors open for early risers who want to get started |
| 8:00 am | Breakfast |
| 8:30 am | Sit down to work. Seriously. We'll lock the door at 8:30 am |
| 10:15 am | Break |
| 10:30 am | In chairs, working |
| 12:00 pm | Lunch |
| 1:00 pm | In chairs, working |
| 2:30 pm | Break |
| 2:45 pm | In chairs, working |
| 4:00 pm | Boot Camp officially ends, but you can continue working until 5:00 pm |

Only if you want to. And only during breaks. This is not a writing workshop.
