WRITING BOOT CAMP FOR GRADUATE STUDENTS

Boot Camp is a great way to launch your writing on major projects, such as a thesis, dissertation, grant proposal, or manuscript for publication. It enables you to devote an entire day during spring break exclusively to writing. The Howe Writing Center will provide a quiet place, power for your computer, and breaks and lunch for you.

Who may participate?

To participate, you must be a graduate student who is willing to commit to spending an entire day at Camp.

When is Boot Camp?

Friday, March 12

What is the daily schedule?

7:00 am Doors open for early risers who want to get started
8:00 am Breakfast
8:30 am Sit down to work. Seriously. We'll lock the door at 8:30 am
10:15 am Break
10:30 am In chairs, working
12:00 pm Lunch
1:00 pm In chairs, working
2:30 pm Break
2:45 pm In chairs, working
4:00 pm Boot Camp officially ends, but you can continue working until 5:00 pm

Will we share our writing?

Only if you want to. And only during breaks. This is not a writing workshop.
