SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

Breakout Session I > 9:45 am - 10:45 am

Meditation and Guided Visualization with Dr. Pam Wilkins: This session will offer an opportunity to step back from the pressures of leadership roles to enrich your sense of personal balance, harmony and wellness. Participants will learn and experience a range of visualization/relaxation techniques to decrease stress, increase self-empowerment, and balance energy while improving focus. Energizing, refreshing, and relaxing peace-enhancing journeys will all be included!

This finance session will help to provide a foundation for understanding important money management principles. This dry subject will be anything but as we explore in an easy to understand, humorous way the basic investing principles that could help you double your money! (This session will be specifically geared toward faculty and staff. A similar session will be offered later in the afternoon geared toward students. HOWEVER, students and faculty/staff are welcome to attend either session, as your schedule permits.)

We're Running Out of Time: An Urgent Call for Conscious Feminine Leadership in a Time of Planetary Crisis, with keynote speaker Mary Pierce Brosmer, Women Writing for (a) Change: In her keynote address, and this workshop session to follow, Mary Pierce Brosmer will create a container for attendees to experience Conscious Feminine Leadership. Participants will explore how its practices and values can transform re-arranging deck chairs on the Titanic leadership, to life-giving and life-sustaining leadership. **PLEASE NOTE: This workshop will run from 1:15-2:45 pm.**

Leading in Your Community, a panel discussion: Are you looking for ways to get more involved in your community, but not quite sure how? Do you think you have something to offer a local group or organization, but feel uncomfortable stepping forward? Women lead in our communities each and every day, sometime through positional leadership and sometimes through seemingly everyday activities and contributions. Join this panel discussion to hear from a few local women leaders who are making an impact in their communities; find out how they got their start doing what they do, what tips and suggestions they have for getting engaged in your community, and how they feel their lives are enriched through their involvement.

How You Can Improve Miami's Climate for Diversity in 5 Minutes a Day, created and led by Women's Center Ambassadors Casey Cook, Sami Schalk & Jamie Viars: Have you ever wondered what you can do, as just one person in a large university, that might make a difference for others on this campus? If so, you're not the only one! Join your peers for an interactive, fun and engaging session highlighting just some of the ways one person can create change in just five minutes a day. It begins with you! It begins now! Don't miss this new workshop designed by and for Miami community members!

Changing the Way We See, created and led by IDEA members Meghan Ames, Lisa Castellano & Adrienne Nothnagel: This interactive workshop will focus on a self-reflective analysis of how issues such as body image affect us as individuals, leaders, and members of society. In continuing IDEA's mission to promote self-education, workshop attendees will explore their own struggles with body image and self-acceptance, and connect those internal issues with how they affect us as women, friends, and leaders of the 21st century.
