Greetings from Our Staff

Welcome to the Women's Center's Web site! The Center has made a profound difference in the lives of women at Miami since opening its doors on July 1, 1991. The Center has touched literally thousands as it works to improve the climate in which Miami women live, work and learn. The Women's Center continues the tradition of support, education and advocacy begun by the first Women's (Resource) Center at Miami, which operated from 1977 to 1982.

Think of the Women's Center as a portal for accessing all kinds of resources and services.  Whether you are struggling with a personal issue and need help identifying support services, want organizing assistance to bring about a change on campus or in your community, need resources for writing a paper on a gender-related issue, or simply want a comfortable place to study or hang out, the Women's Center is here for you.

Please stop by the Center, Room 205-211 MacMillan Hall, and get acquainted with our staff and resources. We look forward to seeing you!

"The Women's Center is a place of learning and thought for me.  I learn how to become a leader on the issues that mean most to me here." (Jessie)
