Greetings from Our Director:

Jane Goettsch

Welcome to the Women's Center's website! The Center has made a profound difference in the lives of women at Miami since opening its doors on July 1, 1991. The Center has touched literally thousands as it works to improve the climate in which women students, faculty, and staff live, work and learn. The Women's Center continues the tradition of support, education and advocacy begun by the first Women's (Resource) Center at Miami, which operated from 1977 to 1982.

Think of the Women's Center as a"port of entry". Whether you are struggling with a personal issue and need help identifying support services, want organizing assistance to bring about a change on campus or in your community, need resources for writing an article or paper on a gender-related issue, or simply want a comfortable place to hang out, the Women's Center is here for you.

Please stop by the Center, Room 205-211 MacMillan Hall, and get acquainted with our staff and resources. We look forward to seeing you!
