Niihka outage scheduled for Dec. 23

 

Niihka will experience a service outage on Sunday, December 23 from 12:00 am through 2:00 am.  The outage is required to install a number of minor updates and make adjustments to Niihka’s settings.  Please be sure to log off Niihka prior to Sunday at 12:00 am, as any unsaved changes will be lost without warning.

The new Miami Google Apps for Education is now available!

If you have been on Miami Exchange email system, please follow the steps below to access your new account:

  1. Go to www.MiamiOH.edu/GoGoogle
  2. Click the Get Started button
  3. Log in with your Miami UniqueID and password
  4. Click the mail button to display the Miami and Google Terms of Service
  5. Accept the Terms of Service to access your new Google account

Unixgen to be shutdown at the end of this month

As a reminder, IT services will be decommissioning the Unixgen server on December 31, 2012.

Internet link update scheduled for this evening

On Wednesday, December 19 between 5:00 and 7:00 pm, IT Services will be upgrading Miami’s Internet connection link.  Although no disruption to network services on-campus is expected, there is a chance that there could be a disruption in VPN (Virtual Private Network) service from off-campus during the upgrade.
