The myMiami upgrade scheduled for this past weekend had an element that unexpectedly failed to install properly.  Because of this the entire upgrade was cancelled.  IT Services is continuing to investigate the issue, and will reschedule the upgrade for a later time.  All myMiami services have been restored.

A pool of funds from the Student Technology Fee is available to stimulate the development of innovative student-focused technology projects on the Oxford campus.  A total of $525,000 is available and any student, faculty or staff member may apply for funding.  The deadline for proposals is Friday, February 8, 2013.

MyMiami will be upgraded during the weekend of Jan. 19.  This work will require an outage lasting from approximately 6:00 pm on Saturday, Jan. 19 until 2:00 am on Sunday, Jan. 20.

There has been significant coverage of a Java security vulnerability being actively used on the Internet.  Additional information about the vulnerability can be found at http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/topics/security/alert-cve-2013-0422-1896849.html and at https://web.nvd.nist.gov/view/vuln/detail?vulnId=CVE-2013-0422 .  Users who are running Oracle's Java version 7 are encouraged to update to Java version 7 update 11.
