IT Services and departments work closely to create a technology environment tailored to the academic and business needs of departments and divisions while maintaining as much consistency across the university as possible.

IT Services uses the buying power of the university to negotiate favorable pricing for hardware and software. To make best use of those agreements, university hardware and software purchases are generally coordinated through departmental technology or administrative support staff. They must be reviewed by IT Services before being processed through the Department of Purchasing and Central Services.

When making a hardware or software purchase using university or grant funding, please check with your department for the appropriate contact person. Your departmental representative will then follow the purchasing process outlined on the IT Purchasing web site.  If you would like a price quote for a software application, please submit a request via e-mail to ithelp@muohio.edu.
