E-mail & Calendaring
All faculty, staff and students receive an account on the muConnect/Exchange e-mail system that provides integrated e-mail and calendaring. By default, your e-mail address is your Miami UniqueID followed by “@muohio.edu”.
The recommended e-mail client is Microsoft Outlook 2007 (Windows) or Entourage 2008 (Mac).The muConnect/Exchange system stores your e-mail and calendar on a centrally-maintained server.
The calendar in Outlook or Entourage allows you to schedule meetings with individuals across campus and manage meeting rooms and resources (like University vehicles or data projectors). Your calendar may also be synchronized with a variety of hand-held devices.
You can also access all e-mail, calendars and other information stored in your muConnect account via Outlook Web Access (OWA). Follow the link on the myMiami portal or visit: https://muconnect.muohio.edu/.
You can manage your muConnect account via Miami’s electronic directory. When you sign in to your directory account you can forward your messages to another e-mail address, change the way your name appears and perform other tasks.
