Environment + Science = Environmental Science Co-Major
For those interested in science and the environment, students can declare an Environmental Science Co-major along with their primary major. The Environmental Science Co-major emphasizes earth science and life science approaches to understanding environmental patterns and processes. If you are primarily interested in biological and physical science specializations, such as zoology or other life and earth sciences, this co-major complements your major especially well. A student taking a co-major must also complete a primary major in one of the divisions at Miami. Completion of the co-major satisfies the Miami Plan thematic sequence requirement. A number of departments and academic units participate in the environmental science co-major programs.
