Kristin Gatchel Replogle, Appointee for Member, President's Advisory Committee on the Arts for the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts
Kristin Gatchel Replogle is President of the Replogle Family Foundation. Ms. Replogle currently serves on the board of directors for WakeMed Hospital, North Carolina State University’s Institute for Nonprofits, SAFEchild, and the Girl Scouts. From 1990 to 1995, she was a speech pathologist at Massachusetts General Hospital, where she specialized in traumatic brain injury and was responsible for training graduate students. Ms. Replogle received her B.S. and M.A. in speech language-pathology from Miami University of Ohio.

Looking Back:

SPA Graduate student, Leah Seikemeyer, received the Outstanding Student Award at the annual Ohio Speech Language and Hearing Association on March 12, 2010 meeting. Leah also received the 1st place scholarship award from OSLHA for the 2009-2010 academic year.

SPA Students Received Awards at the Southwest Ohio Speech-Language-Hearing Association dinner on March 20, 2010.

Miss Deaf America visits Oxford! The Miss Deaf America pageant is a unique way to showcase the talents and abilities of deaf women and to build a stronger deaf community. Michelle Lapides, Miss Deaf America, visited Miami students March 27-28, 2010.

Undergraduate Research Forum 2010 Undergraduate research experiences involve the learning, practice, and skill development that students gain through an inquiry-driven approach and through partnerships with faculty and staff during the task of creating and acquiring knowledge. We were happy to have many students present in the 2010 forum across a broad range of topic

Department of Speech Pathology 60th Anniversary

On June 14, 2008, we celebrated the 60th anniversary of Miami University's Speech Pathology and Audiology Program. The Department hosted a tour of Bachelor Hall clinic space and laboratories, and presented a slide show with photos and captions from the past 60 years of the program.
