"Outside" scholarships are scholarships from third parties such as a high school or a Kiwanis club. These scholarships are usually awarded on the basis of academic merit or some special talent, such as athletic or musical ability.

Where can you find information about outside scholarships for which you may qualify?

  1. Periodically check this web page for updates to the list below of outside scholarships.
  2. Visit our scholarship search page and try some of the free scholarship searches on the Internet.
  3. Take time to research scholarships available in your local area. Most small, local organizations usually do not publicize their scholarships on the Internet, so the competition for their scholarship dollars is often less vigorous. Finding local organizations that offer scholarships can take a lot of work, but the effort usually pays off! Our scholarship search page provides tips on how to find local scholarships.
  4. For information on National Scholarships and Fellowships, please visit the Honor's office website.
