| Questions about
the Study Abroad Airfare Grant.
What is the Study Abroad Airfare Grant? See Financial
Aid for Study Abroad.
Why is the program only for undergraduate students
studying abroad during fall and spring? A goal of
the university is to increase full-time study abroad
enrollment during the fall and spring semesters. We
feel the grant will assist in achieving this goal.
What does it mean to demonstrate financial need?
A student demonstrates financial need if their Expected
Family Contribution (EFC), which is computed through
completion of the Free Application for Federal Student
Aid (FAFSA), is less than the student's cost of attendance.
Cost of attendance for students studying abroad will
include any expenses related to the specific program.
What happens if the student does not end up studying
abroad? The student will be required to pay the
funds back to the university.
Does the student need to complete a separate application
in order to be considered? No. To be considered,
students simply need to complete a FAFSA to determine
financial need.
