What does nursing facility care cost in Ohio?


The costs of nursing facility care in Ohio vary considerably depending upon how the care is paid for. According to data from the Ohio Annual Survey of Long-Term Care Facilities- the average nursing facility self-pay daily rate was $94 in 1992 increasing to $148 by 2001 (a 57% increase). Over the same time period the average Medicaid daily reimbursement increased by 73%. Between 1992 and 2001 Medicare had the largest average daily cost increase at 217%.
