| How are families of Ohio nursing facility residents involved
in their care? |
Responses
from the Ohio Nursing Home Family Satisfaction
Survey suggest that
families are very much involved in the care
of relatives and friends who reside
in nursing facilities. As the chart below
illustrates, over 60 percent of families
describe themselves as always or sometimes
involved in their relative’s care
with grooming, nearly one-half are involved
with feeding, and just under 40 percent
with dressing.
Nearly four-fifths of the respondent families
report visiting at
least once weekly,
and one-fifth of families report visiting
daily. |
