Lydia Manning is a 1st year doctoral student in the Social Gerontology program at Miami University, Oxford, OH. She holds a Master of Gerontological Studies degree from Miami University. Lydia has spent time consulting to companies, helping them address the needs of their aging workforce. She has held several leadership positions within the community and is passionate about improving the lives of older adults. Lydia’s research interests include the intersection of gender, culture and aging. Other areas include the connections of spirituality, aging and art; sexuality and aging; and the aging workforce. Lydia is a qualitative researcher by nature and training, and is passionate about linking theory with practice in the form of applied gerontology and action research.
