As student affairs practitioners, it is imperative
that we help create "citizens of the world"
by employing a global perspective in our work with
students. The Miami University College Student Personnel
Program is pleased to offer Student Affairs Practice
in Europe, an international study tour that provides
professionals, faculty, and graduate students the
opportunity to experience higher education and student
affairs practice in Europe through readings, discussions,
and site visits. This study tour is open to any university
faculty, staff, or graduate student with an interest
in internationalizing their perspective of student
affairs. Over a two-week period, participants will
travel to Luxembourg, Germany, and the Czech Republic visiting
universities, meeting with and learning from administrators,
faculty, and students. Additionally, participants
will have the opportunity for sightseeing and visits
to cultural sites.
EDL 699I: Student Affairs Practice in Europe is a
3-credit hour graduate course which program participants
may elect to take for graduate credit or as a non-credit
workshop earning CEUs.
