Although Miami's campuses are safe, crimes, including sexual assault, do happen. At Miami, a variety of programs are aimed at increasing awareness of sexual assault and supporting students who report sexual assaults. This Web site provides information about sexual assault and ways to become involved in ending sexual violence. The site also includes individual risk reduction and prevention strategies, how to report a sexual assault, campus judicial procedures, and campus and community resources for those who have experienced sexual assault.

Throughout the year, many campus events are planned aimed at sexual assault awareness and outward displays of victim support. Be sure to check out our upcoming events!
WAVES (Women Against Violence and Sexual Assault) and MARS (Men Against Rape and Sexual Assault) are two student organizations who are dedicated to serving the Miami community by educating and spreading awarenss about sexual assault. Both are availabe to come to your resident hall, athletic team, organization, etc. to share our 60-75 minute long interactive presentation.
