To motivate a person we must focus on their values, needs, and interests.

As a leader, it is important that you assess and understand not only what factors motivate you, but the factors that motivate your group members as well. Please study the PDF attached and rank in order (one being your top choice) the five items which you believe are the most important factors or situations in motivating you or that account for your participation.

Have your group members do likewise. Hopefully, this information will give you a benchmark from which you can understand the factors that motivate your group members as well as effectively stimulate their involvement in your organization.
