Introduction and
Timeline

Greetings from the Office of Residence Life!

At this time our process for hiring resident assistants for 2008-2009 has CLOSED. But we will still accept your application! Read these pages and complete the application (including the essays and references) and if a position becomes available where we need to conduct interviews, you will be contacted via email. If a position does not become available, you will be interviewed for Spring 2009 openings.

We are excited that you are considering applying to be a member of the student staff! These positions are some of the most important, influential and rewarding leadership opportunities available to students.

Therefore, the decision to become a student staff member is not one that should be made lightly. It is a demanding, challenging and rewarding one! The student staff position is an opportunity for you to make your mark as a leader, ally and role model for students at Miami University. As a department, we have high expectations for our student staff because they must abide by all of the terms of employment listed in the next several pages.

Please consider your commitment carefully as you begin this process.

In order to fulfill the expectations and job responsibilities listed in this application, you must recognize that this job should be your primary out-of-class obligation.
