Living Learning Communities
All of our residence halls are living learning communities. As stated in our mission we strive to provide safe and supportive environments that promote academic success,
personal development, involvement in campus life, and understanding of
intercultural issues. We do that through community building provided by the live-in staff and the hall or community council. In some residence halls we have a specific theme associated with all or part of the community. These themes range from academic, to personal interest to social justice related. The communities with a theme have connections to academic and administrative departments, courses associated with the community and some continuity with program initiatives.
The Office of Residence Life advisory staff work with an advisory board for each community which is charged with providing direction, resources and evaluation for the community.
