Menu:

Appetizers of dried dates and apricots, traditional foods with which to break the fast

Lentil soup – a traditional food for the breaking of the fast

Salad

Side vegetable – broccoli

Side dish- Red Beans (another semi-traditional food)

Grain – rice

Main dishes – Fish (specifically Tilapia) prepared simply, again to strive for an authentic meal. Chicken will also be available

Side dish 3 – prepared by Amina Osman

Dessert – prepared by the Amina Osman

Beverages

  • All ingredients for this meal are to be kosher/hallal.
  • All elements of the dinner except side dish 3 and dessert will be prepared in Hillel's kosher kitchen by Hillel's Chef, Paula Duncan. (Because food is kosher, will be considered by many to be halal.)
