August Orientation for New First Year and Transfer Students

August 2008

Welcome and Congratulations on your acceptance to Miami University.  To help you become acquainted with your new community, we invite you to participate in the August Orientation Program.  August Orientation is designed to introduce you to academics at Miami, receive academic advising and register for classes, help you meet other students, learn about campus resources, and get a head start on the year.  Join us for an informative and exciting journey.

In mid-July, new first year students who did not attend the Summer Orientation and Registration Program and all transfer students will be mailed an invitation to August Orientation. This brochure will describe the program and details on how to register.  Please note, all new first year students are required to attend an orientation program.

To assist families in transition and to help support students, we offer a family program.  The family orientation program for family members of all students: new first year and transfer will occur in August 2008.  The academic advising and registration portion of the program is limited to students only.
