The Bernard B. Rinella, Jr. Learning Center
can HELP!!
The instructors and the students are the first to notice some
of the early warning signs of difficulties in performance.
These signs may suggest that further help is needed.
The Bernard B. Rinella, Jr. Learning Center is committed
to working with students encountering academic difficulties
such as:
* Low or failing test and quiz scores.
* Incomplete or late assignments.
* Problems with organizing time.
* Poor writing skills; incomplete lecture notes.
* Problems comprehending textbook materials.
* Misunderstanding of oral and written instructions.
* Easily distracted; short attention span; restless; anxious.
* Inappropriate class behavior.
* Inability to express ideas in speech or writing.
* Inconsistent daily performance.
* No clear sense of career goals.

This program provides services to students having academic difficulty or on academic probation.
Academic Support for Intercollegiate Athletics
This program provides support services for students involved in intercollegiate athletics at Miami.
* Champs for Life Skills
EDT 110, Learning Strategies for College Success
This two credit hour course is designed to teach in a classroom setting the skills necessary to function effectively within the academic environment at Miami.
