Motivation

Lacking motivation usually centers on lacking interest in a subject or activity, feeling overwhelmed by your schedule or assignments, or not having a great deal invested in the outcome of a project.  To get yourself motivated:

· Break up assignments into parts.

· Establish goals.

· Set clear starting and stopping times.

· Work in an environment with few distractions.

       (Avoid studying in your room)

·  Ask friends, roommates, and family to hold you

       accountable for completing a task.

The described strategies for time management must be customized for each student’s life style, course load, and personal responsibilities.  To become a truly successful student at Miami University, dedicate time and energy into developing a system for time management and use it regularly so that it becomes a habit.
