(Undergraduate Research Option)
What is the Undergraduate Research Option (URO)?
URO (Undergraduate Research Option) is a living, learning research community open to first year students who are in the Scholastic Enhancement (SEP) program. It is a small community of no more than 20 students who live together in a common first year residence hall. Each student is paired with a faculty sponsor who engages the student in some aspect of his/her research.
Mission and Overview
The mission of the undergraduate research option of the Scholastic Enhancement Program (SEP) is to improve the achievement and retention of SEP students in a residential setting through research partnerships with faculty during their first year at Miami University of Ohio.
