Tutorial Assistance Program
All student-athletes who want or need tutoring can access it through the Tutorial Assistance Program (TAP). You can sign up for tutoring on-line. The Gross Center will offer walk-in tutoring in Writing and Mathematics. Hours will be posted at the Gross Center or contact one of the academic coordinators for details.
TAP provides "peer" tutors for individual or small group tutoring in specific courses as well as reading, writing and study skills. The tutors are undergraduate and graduate students who have the necessary content background and have completed a training course in the methods of tutoring.
The Tutoring Center Hours are:
Monday - Thursday -- 8:00 am - 8:00 pm
Friday -- 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Tutors are available and free of charge to all students through the Bernard B. Rinella, Jr. Learning Center. While the university absorbs all costs for tutoring, the student will be charged for any "no shows." Two such misses in a semester will result in the loss of tutoring privileges for the semester.
