Summer Orientation Process

This is the process that student-athletes will go through for Miami's Summer Orientation:

1. Student-athlete is admitted to Miami University and confirms admission by filling out the housing contract and submitting their housing deposit.

2. Student-athlete will receive information in the mail regarding Summer Orientation from the Orientation Office.

3. Student-athlete will register for the two-day Summer Orientation program online at: http://www.units.muohio.edu/saf/orientation/

4. Student-athlete will receive a letter from the Student Athlete Academic Support Services office at the beginning of May. This letter will provide directions on setting up an appointment with their Academic Coordinator during Day 1 of Summer Orientation. It will also include general information regarding the Student-Athlete Development Center, Summer Orientation & Registration, and necessary assessments for both math and foreign language.

5. Student-athlete will attend Orientation activities and will finish the program by registering for classes in the computer room (Day 2). An Academic Coordinator will be in each computer room to assist all student-athletes in the process.
