Academic Advising

Student-athletes at Miami University use the network of academic advisors available in each department. Resident academic advisors are available for all first-year students in the residence halls. During the second semester of a student's first year, each student is assigned an advisor in the department of his/her major of study. This information can be found under the "Student" tab of MyMiami. All returning student-athletes are required to see their academic advisor and together fill out the ICA Academic Advising Report before submitting registration requests through BannerWeb. The advising reports will be kept on file in the Coordinator's offices to ensure proper course planning.
