The Office of Learning Disabilities Services is a resource that can provide or make Referrals for Information and provide Accommodaitons. Students work with the OLDS staff to determine the appropriate accommodations based on the student's schedule.  Accommodations may include, but are not limited to the following:

PLEASE NOTE: Accommodations that require third-party support may be delayed (i.e., books on tape/CD/electronic textbooks or note takers) with the typical turnaround time being 2-3 weeks.

Semester Classroom Accommodations Request - EVERY semester a "Request Form for Faculty Letters" must be completed indicating the accommodation(s) you are requesting for each class based on the agreed accommodations identified in your meeting with the OLDS staff.. The form is available in the OLDS office (Rm. 14 CAB).

Test Date/Time Request - When possible, students who are eligible for testing accommodations are encouraged to schedule their exams under the direct supervision of their instructors or their designees. If instructors are not able to provide a space for your testing, students may request to take their exams in the RLC Testing Center. In order for OLDS to properly coordinate testing rooms and proctors, students are required to notify OLDS at least five (5) business days prior to the scheduled exam date either by email: rlc@muohio.edu or by phone: 513.529.8741.

BLACKBOARD - OLDS has a Blackboard site MU-LD Services Online that is designed to keep you better informed on issues surrounding learning disabilities. Announcements are regularly posted and forums designed to host common questions and answers. However, to access this site, you must provide permission to list you as an authorized user. You can identify your desire to participate in the Blackboard community when completing the semester classroom accommodations form or by email: rlc@muohio.edu.
