ANNUAL MIAMI EVENTS

Multicultural Leadership Program
is a summer program sponsored by the Office of Admission that provides diverse students in their junior year of high school with exposure to opportunities in higher education and professional careers. College preparation workshops are held, with continuing opportunities, such as scholarships and internships, for those who enroll at Miami.
National Fellowships Symposium
provides advice for applying to prestigious national scholarships and fellowships such as the Rhodes, Marshall, Truman and Fulbright Scholarships. It usually occurs in October or November.
Perlmutter Leadership Conference
is held each fall semester and enables student participants to get to know one another and learn more about the other leadership programs included as part of "Miami's Leadership Commitment."  A keynote speaker who is a national expert on leadership is featured each year. Senior Last Lecture
provides the graduating class the opportunity to reflect on the leadership values and experiences they have learned and shared together during their time at Miami.
Undergraduate Research Forum
occurs in mid-April each year and provides the opportunity for Miami undergraduate students to present their research findings in oral or poster sessions.
Wilks High School Leadership Conference
is held each spring and provides leadership training to over 100 high students in the region.
Women’s Leadership Celebration
is an annual event for all members of the Miami community—including students, staff, and faculty—to celebrate female empowerment. It facilitates appreciation for the historical and contemporary struggle of women.
