Welcome back — the new year is starting and along with that comes the renewal of the many activities available to help Miami students explore critical questions in leadership. The first opportunity is the first-year reading program with What's the What as the focus. David Eggers' provocative account of life in Sudan and America will no doubt stimulate numerous questions about who has responsibility for shaping our society and to whom are we responsible when global conditions risk the lives of others.
