HAVEN: LGBTQ Graduate Alliance
The Haven Queer Graduate Alliance provides a space for LGBTIQ graduate students and their allies to find community both academically and socially. The group provides a venue to discuss LGBTIQ issues in teaching, mentoring, academic writing, research, and relevant scholarship.
Politically, our aim is to collaborate with other LGBTIQ groups on campus--undergraduate, faculty, and staff. Haven also explores the intersections of sexuality, race, gender, class, ability, and nationality, understanding that all of these intersecting identities influence how we experience our daily lives and global perspectives.
Haven's regular meetings are the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month. Currently the group meets at Tonic (45 E High Street) in Oxford. Join the list to find out about our irregular social outings.
