HAVEN: LGBTQ Graduate Alliance

HAVEN brings together a myriad of diverse students to promote awareness, advocacy and social networking for master's and doctoral students at Miami University. We collaborate with Spectrum, the Office of GLBTQ Services and G.L.E.A.M. to provide activities, programming and opportunities for mentoring. As part of the greater GLBTQ community at Miami, HAVEN seeks to advance intellectual and professional opportunities for leadership in the areas of diversity and equity, campus climate, gay/lesbian studies, queer theorizing and discussion, and leadership. Recent programming includes "lesbian pool night," dialogue on the development of sexuality studies and participation in the annual Awareness Week activities sponsored by Spectrum and the Office of GLBTQ Services.
