General Description of Services
The CETC is part of the Student Counseling Service.
It helps students assess their skills, interests,
and values along with their career and academic options,
and works to help students learn how these things
interact in making positive career and academic decisions.

Outreach Programs
CETC Staff:

Coordinator of the CETC: Dr. Rick Browne, a full
time staff member and psychologist at the Student Counseling Service, is responsible for the overall administration of the
CETC.
Graduate Assistant: Meredith Richel
serves as the graduate assistant at the CETC. She teaches EDL 100 and also sees individual career clients at the CETC.
Career Counselors: Erin Heyboer, Dwayne Peterson, Kelly Rainey, and Tally Reeverts serve as practicum career counselors at the CETC. They provide individual career counseling appointments to CETC clients.
Coordinator of Career Development
Courses:
Lisa Farthing coordinates the course EDL
100: Career Development and the College Student.
Lisa is responsible for the overall coordination
of this course and also teaches a section.
Testing Manager: Bonnie Stephenson manages the national testing program at the CETC, which administers many of the entrance exams for graduate programs, CLEP exams, and a variety of other tests. Click here to learn about the exams given through the CETC.
Career Assistants (CA's): Megan Angelini, Stacie Baker, Sarah Benedetti, Kelly Bowman, Becky Foy, Cara Maldonado, Jenn Mouch, Kelly Norman, and Sophie Williams are Career Assistants at the CETC. They are undergraduate students who are trained peer counseling and career development. They provide walk-in services for students, so feel free to
stop in without an appointment!
Who Can Use the CETC?
Our services are offered to all full-time students
currently enrolled in credit courses at Miami University's
Oxford campus.
