Greek Endeavor

ENDEAVOR serves as an exhilarating all-Greek Alternative Spring Break trip that will occur March 15-22, 2008 on the Apalachicola River and Little St. George Island in Florida. Participants will share a weeklong outdoor and service experience focused on integrating the Greek Community's Five Core Principles: Scholarship & Learning, Service and Philanthropy, Community, Leadership and Brotherhood & Sisterhood.

In collaboration with the Office of Community Engagement and Service and the Outdoor Pursuit Center, facilitators will guide participants in sea kayaking, hiking, hands-on service, and group and individual leadership reflection activities to help process the experience in this picturesque setting. Throughout the week, participants will gain in their understanding of how to engage in one's greater Greek, local, and world community, and learn what it means to be advocates of social change and lead with integrity in our global environment.

Greek Week

Imagine hurling your body into a humongous vat of jello in an attempt to rescue a tiny golf ball. Or, envision yourself sitting in a muddy pit, pulling on a rope with all your might, determined to capture the flag before your opponent succeeds. Yes that's right, Greek Week is crazy and FUN! Greek Week is a week set aside for fraternity and sorority members to come together to compete in real athletic competition, serve the Miami and Oxford communities and most importantly, have fun while doing it.
