Fraternity Exemption
Currently, eighteen fraternities have been granted exemption for their Second Year students on-campus residency requirements. Additionally, there are four fraternities that will have fraternity corridors on campus. These fraternities are:
- Acacia
- Alpha Delta Phi
- Alpha Epsilon Pi
- Beta Theta Pi
- Chi Psi (Fraternity Corridor)
- Delta Kappa Epsilon
- Delta Tau Delta
- Delta Upsilon
- Kappa Alpha
- Lambda Chi Alpha (Fraternity Corridor)
- Phi Delta Theta
- Phi Kpapp Psi
- Phi Kappa Tau
- Pi Kappa Phi
- Sigma Alpha Epsilon
- Sigma Phi Epsilon
- Sigma Pi
- Theta Chi
- Zeta Beta Tau (Fraternity Corridor)
If you are a member of one of these fraternities, you may live in your fraternity house in lieu of the second-year on campus residency requirement. In order to be eligible to live in the fraternity house during one's second-year, members must have above a 2.6 GPA and no Code 1 violations. For more information about Code 1 violations, see the Student Handbook.
Chapter facilities must be compliant with regulations including no alcohol in common spaces. Chapters may elect for their facility to be dry (no alcohol present in the facility) or damp (members who are of legal drinking age may consume alcohol in the privacy of their own room).
