Diversity Affairs Council

The Diversity Affairs Council (DAC) is one of 9 councils under the Associated Student Government (ASG). DAC is committed to enhancing the climate of respect for diversity at Miami University. We dedicate ourselves to learning more about diversity in its complexities and exposing ourselves to new experiences. We work to foster more co-sponsorship of programming efforts and promote the activities of other student groups and administrative offices who are interested in issues of diversity. We try to channel the energy, interest, activity, and information within the University community to the best advantage.

The DAC serves as a venue in which:

• Coalitions, alliances and friendships will be built within the intercultural community of multicultural and diverse student organizations and their membership
• Issues of climate, policy, procedure, and curriculum will be analyzed and challenged in order to improve the environment for Miami’s student body
• By planning their calendars together, one cohesive student voice will be heard from the leaders of Miami’s multicultural and diverse student organizations to offer change and challenge.
