Mission Statement
The mission of the Office of Dean of Students is to enhance the academic climate of the campus by contributing to the intellectual and interpersonal development of students in both curricular and co-curricular realms.
Scope of the Office of the Dean of Students
The Office of the Dean of Students is housed within the Division of Student Affairs and works toward the collective goal of enhancing the intellectual and social development of the Miami University student body by connecting the work of its discrete units in a cohesive manner. The Office of the Dean of Students serves as the primary advocate for the student body, supports intellectual and interpersonal development, and helps students successfully matriculate through the university system.
The Office of the Dean of Students consists of eight areas:
- Associate Vice President-Dean of Students
- Office of Ethics and Student Conflict Resolution
- Office of Diversity Affairs
- Office of Off Campus Affairs
- Office of Residence Life
- Office of Transition and Assessment
- Sexual Assault Prevention Coordinator
- The Rinella Learning Center
