Dr. Susan Mosley-Howard

Associate Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students

Dr. Susan Mosley-Howard has been at Miami University-Oxford since 1983, after completing her doctoral program in Educational Psychology at Michigan State University, and graduate-undergraduate work in psychology at The University of Michigan. Her service to Miami has included time at the University Counseling Services as a Counselor, a faculty member & assistant department chair in the Department of Educational Psychology, and the School of Education & Allied Professions where she served as Associate Dean. In her academic department she has taught human development, learning, and counseling. Her scholarship is in the area of minority mental health and the impact of educational interventions on children and adolescents. She serves as the institution's Associate Vice President & Dean of Students, and is still active as a professor in the Department of Educational Psychology.

Dr. Andrew Beckett

Assistant Dean of Students for Transition and Assessment

Andrew joined Miami in 2006 to work with first and second-year transition programs. He earned his Doctorate of Philosophy in Educational Leadership from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2006. He also holds a Master's of Arts in Higher Education from the University of Arizona and a Bachelor's of Science in Mathematics from Truman State University. His research interests include the effects of residential learning communities and factors contributing to college persistence. Andrew is a member of the Liberal Education Council, the Interdivisional Committee of Advisors, the Summer Reading Program, and the University Assessment Team.

Bobbe Burke

Off Campus Affairs and Miami Tribe Relations

Bobbe Burke is the Coordinator of the Office of Off-Campus Affairs and Coordinator of Relations/Activities with the Miami Tribe. All of her employment at Miami (since 1989) has been in the Student Affairs Division and she credits her experiences as a student leader in her undergraduate days at Miami as the best training she ever received to prepare her for her current job tasks.

Linda Dixon

Associate Dean of Students

Linda Dixon is the Associate Dean of Students for Retention and Learning Center Services. She has served in various roles at Miami since 1990. She has been active in the Cincinnati community having served 11 years on the school board for Wyoming City Schools and 5 years on the YWCA board. She also served 7 years on the National College Learning Center Association’s executive board. Linda has a B.A. in English from Central State University, and an M.A. in English and M.Ed. in Secondary Education both from the University of Cincinnati. Linda has worked in higher education for over 35 years in both faculty and administrative staff positions.

Eloiza Domingo-Snyder

Director of Diverse Student Development

Eloiza Domingo-Snyder has been with Miami University for 1 year, serving as the Director of Diverse Student Development within the Office of Diversity Affairs. Eloiza is also the Head Coach for the Miami Dance Team, which is currently ranked 5th in the nation. She graduated with a Master of Science degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Sociology from Indiana University-Bloomington. She and her husband, Travis, along with their 5 dogs and 1 cat live in Hamilton, OH.

Nicole Hall

Sexual Assault Prevention

Nicole joined the Miami University staff in 2007 after completing her Master’s degree in Counseling from Xavier University. She has experience in mental health and sexual assault education. As coordinator she provides leadership and guidance on sexual assault issues for the campus community with the objective of integrating awareness, understanding and prevention/risk reduction behavior into the daily lives of Miami University students. Additionally, the Coordinator serves as a campus liaison for survivors of sexual assault.

Gerald Olson

Director of Residence Life

Gerald (Jerry) Olson has been the Director of Residence Life since August, 2004. He has 30+ years working in housing & residence life and judicial affairs at four public institutions in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Indiana, and Ohio, including a three year stint as a coordinator of residence life at Miami from 1982-1985.

Juanita Tate

Diversity Affairs

Dr. Tate holds a Bachelor's degree in English and a Master's in Health Planning and Administration from the University of Cincinnati. She received her doctorate in Health Administration, Gerontology, and Education from the Union Institute & University in Cincinnati. She has held administrative positions in various industries including large corporations and long-term care. She continues to provide health education for others and advocates for older adults who live in long-term care facilities.

Dr. Tate began her career at Miami as the Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Student Affairs and Coordinator of Diversity in 2000. Since that time her responsibilities have expanded to include administrative oversight for the Office of Diversity Affairs (ODA) which was established in 2005. ODA is responsible for the development and implementation of programs and activities to enhance the academic success, retention, and personal development of multicultural students. Our office embodies a commitment to diversity as expressed through abilities, age, ethnicity, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic differences. ODA houses the Center for Black Culture and Learning, a place where African American students can find a sense of community and support and the Barahona Latino/a Resource space, where students can celebrate Latino/a culture and community. Our newly-renovated space in Kreger Hall is open to all students who want to explore all areas of diversity.

Susan Vaughn

Director of Ethics and Student Conflict Resolution

I have worked in the Division of Student Affairs at Miami for 21 years and I have been the Director of the Office of Ethics and Student Conflict Resolution (formerly Judicial Affairs) since 1996. I was the Coordinator for Alcohol and Drug Education program for the first ten years of my career at Miami. I have served as the Collegiate Chapter Director for the Alpha Chapter of Delta Zeta Sorority at Miami for nine years.
