Group Fitness Program Policies
Passes may be purchased at the Pro Shop and are valid for the semester
in which they are purchased.
If you need a picture ID made (you are not a member or student), it will
be programmed for the pass purchased upon arrival to your first class. After
your ID is programmed, you must have it swiped at the pass check desk to
enter each class. There will be no admittance without a valid ID.
Refunds are only given for medical-related issues. Refunds are 100% of the price paid less $10 per class taken for members or $15 for non-members.
Any class that consistently has attendance of fewer than five people may be cancelled at any time without notice.
Classes will only be taught to groups of two or more. For safety and liability reasons, all classes with just one participant will be cancelled.
Participants must purchase their own pass; NO pass may be shared.
Upgrades may only be given for a 5-, 10-, and 20-class pass to an unlimited semester or year pass. The refund will be the number of classes you have used minus the cost of an unlimited semester or year pass.
No admittance will be allowed more than 10 minutes after the class has started. This is for the safety of those already exercising and for those entering late and have missed the warm up.
Participants cannot save bikes or spots for their friends. All classes are first-come, first-serve. Participants also may not swipe in someone else's ID for them. Doing so may result in confiscation of both participant's ID cards and group fitness passes and privileges. The university policy states:
| SECTION 02.102 Dishonesty Intentionally furnishing false information or omitting relevant or necessary information to gain a benefit, to injure, or to defraud is prohibited. Using or possessing false or altered identification (including drivers’ licenses and Miami University identification cards) is prohibited. Students may not use another person’s University identification card for any purpose. Examples of prohibited behavior include forgery, alteration, or falsification of any University documents or records, or misrepresentation of University credentials. These include grade transcripts, student identification, computer records, and other official documents. Using a forged or altered document is also prohibited, even if someone else made the changes. Student identification cards are University property and must be shown or surrendered when requested by a University official in performance of his or her duty |
