Miami University - Office of the Registrar - Student Responsibility to Review DARS

Student Responsibility to review DARS and contact Advisor

Associate and Bachelor Degrees -

All undergraduate students have unlimited access to view their DARS via MyMiami . Review your DARS frequently to make sure your progress to complete your degree requirements is on track. All students should arrange consultations with their academic advisors for degree status checking. If you do not know who your advisor is, contact your Divisional Office, and they will set an appointment up for you.

Although departmental and divisional offices have final approval for degree certification, the student must take responsibility to view their DARS, request help from Advisors, Departmental/Divisional Staff, Faculty, or the Commencement Office with problems on their DARS.

If incomplete grades need to be turned in, review your DARS until you see the grade has been changed. If you do not receive notification from the Registrar's Office that a grade correction has been processed, or you do not see the final grade posted on your DARS, contact the faculty member who instructed the course. If you cannot contact the faculty, forward your questions to the departmental office, or the Commencement Office, so we can assist you in completing all degree requirements.

Masters, Specialist, Doctoral Degrees -

While DARS are only programmed for undergraduate degree programs, you can contact your Advisor, or major departmental staff to view your advising transcript via the web. Keep in touch with advisors so your degree progress can be monitored. If you are away from Oxford, please inform them of current mailing/email addresses and phone numbers, in case you need to be contacted.

Students in thesis/dissertation programs must deposit their thesis/dissertation to the library either electronically or in person. When the thesis/dissertation is deposited, notification must be made to the Graduate School before further processing of your graduation paperwork can begin.
