Graduate training in Psychology: |
We are proud
of the approximately 70 graduate students who are involved in training
in our doctoral programs. They are seeking their Ph. D.s in our three
subareas of emphasis in the department. We offer a number of cutting-edge graduate seminars every semester to students in our program. In addition to developing
their research acumen, many of our students are also involved in the Preparing
Future Faculty program. Most of these students, following their training,
will take jobs as professors, researchers, or therapists. You can learn
more about our graduate programs, admissions,
program requirements and policies
as well as learn more about the faculty who
oversee graduate training at Miami (above: graduate students discuss issues
in a seminar). |

You can learn more about our programs by reading over an overview to graduate studies in psychology, which includes an introduction from our department chair, details about our facilities and community, and information about what our graduates do following their training. |
Interested students can learn more about our admissions process and policies. If you are interested in applying to our graduate programs in any of our three subareas, please note that the deadline for application materials in all three areas is January 1. | Once admitted to our program, our graduate students must meet program requirements set by the department, and in some cases, also set by their individual subareas. Formal policies outline the official rules for the graduate curriculum. |
If, after reading about our graduate program, you would like to request an application, e-mail Carolyn Howard, secretary for graduate admissions (howardcm@muohio.edu). Director of Graduate Studies: |
