Personal Information

The Clinical Psychology program at Miami University considers the person performing a psychological service to be an important part of service, affecting the process and outcome of the service. The program values self-reflection and recognizes the importance of coming to understand what psychologist bring into their interactions with co-workers, supervisors, and clients. Thus, in the course of academic or professional activities (including classes and clinical supervision), students are likely to be asked to disclose information about themselves. At other times, students are likely to be asked to reflect on their personal experiences and reveal their reactions, even if the experience itself is not disclosed.

Clinical Program Education and Training Outcomes

The American Psychological Association's Committee on Accreditation requires that doctoral graduate programs provide potential students, current students and the public with accurate information on education and training outcomes as well as information that will allow applicants to make informed and comparative decisions. Information to be included in public documents and on the program's website as of January 1, 2007 is to include: time to completion; costs (tuition and fees); internship acceptance rates; and student attrition rates.
