For more than 100 years the Miami University Police Department has been building a legacy serving the students, faculty, and staff of Miami University. That is a tradition of which we are very proud. It is a tradition that we build on every day. When the community members of Miami University call us they are not having a good day. What they find when we arrive is that we are not just there to solve their immediate emergency; we are there to deliver excellent “WOW” customer service.

L.L. Bean, a customer service icon, understands the following assumptions:

  • The customer is the most important person ever in the company – he is not dependent on us, we are dependent on him.
  • The customer is not an interruption of our work; they are the purpose of it.

Customer service is critical in almost every job. In thrives on three areas:

  1. Treat the Customer like you would want to be treated.
  2. Be professional and courteous.
  3. Be Nice!

We appreciate the assistance and input of the Phoenix Fire Department.
