Fingerprint Service Information
Civilian Background Checks can be obtained electronically through the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation. Our department will also provide service with black ink cards.
Many individuals come in to be fingerprinted; some reasons include student teaching, working in schools, working with elderly, in daycares, churches, banks and many other types of employment fields.

Turn Around Time
Results are mailed from London, Ohio to the address you provide at the time of service and typically take 7-10 business days. Results may be picked up at the Miami University Police Department and typically take 3-5 business days. Please note that on occasion results may be delayed and could take up to 30 days to receive.

Summer hours of operations for Fingerprinting are Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4 pm. No appointment is needed.
