Campus Crime Alert
  OFFENSE:   Series of Four Burglaries
  DATE/TIME:   Between September 17 and October 28, 2007
  LOCATION:  
  • Students’ room in Minnich – September 17 or 18
  • Students’ room in Minnich – Some time during September or October
  • Students’ room in Brandon – October 25
  • Student house in 0 block of W. Walnut St. – October 28
  • DETAILS: Between October 25 and 28, University police and Oxford police received four (4) reports of burglaries from students’ residences, as listed above. In two cases, portable electronic devices were stolen (iPod and laptop); in the third case a lock box was stolen. There were no signs of forced entry in the on-campus burglaries. In the off-campus house, nothing was missing, but a window screen was removed and the window opened to gain access. There are no suspect descriptions available. Miami University police and Oxford police are investigating.

    Students are reminded to keep their room doors and windows locked any time the room is empty or when they are sleeping. Call 9-1-1 to report anyone you observe behaving suspiciously.
