Q: When must documentation be turned in to receive my lump sum merit award during the current fiscal year?
A: In order to receive your lump sum award during the current fiscal year (July 1 - June 30), documentation must be submitted to the Department of Human Resources no later than May 15.
Q: When must documentation be turned in to receive my 1% advanced component award during the current fiscal year?
A: The 1% advanced component
awards are awarded in conjunction with the lump sum
merit award. In order to receive your 1% advanced
component award and your lump sum merit award
during the current fiscal year (July 1 - June 30),
documentation must be submitted to the Department
of Human Resources no later than May 15. Please note that the 1% advanced component is awarded at the same time as the lump sum
merit award. Example: If an employee
has received a lump sum merit award in the current
fiscal year, and later in the same fiscal year the
employee satisfies the requirements for an advanced
component award, the 1% advanced component award and the lump sum merit award will be processed in the
following fiscal year.
Q: Are we able to view our job enrichment summary reports on-line?
A: Yes. You can view your job enrichment awards and summary report online using the job enrichment database link from the Staff Development home page or signing on to MyMiami, then selecting the employee tab.
Q: Can I receive job enrichment points if I attend a portion of a training session, such as arriving after the session has begun or leaving early?
A: Job enrichment points can only be awarded if the training session is completed in its entirety; you cannot receive partial credit for attending only a portion of the session.
Q: In the job enrichment guidelines booklet, it is stated that once we achieve our first promotion-in-place that we may add "Master" to our employment record. Is this added automatically upon achieving our first promotion-in-place?
A: Upon achieving the first promotion-in-place, "Master" is not automatically added to an employee's employment record. If an employee would like this added, they must notify the Staff Development office (529-6409) in the Department of Human Resources.
