Q1.Am
I required to use the on-line application system to
apply for a position?
A1.No. You may still apply in person at the Depatment of Human Resources or mail your
application.
Q2.Can
I apply for any position using the on-line application
system.
A2.No. At the moment you may only use the system to apply for classified
(hourly) positions that give you an option to apply
on-line. There are some unclassified (salaried/administrative)
positions that give you the option to submit your
resume. Eventually, you will be able to apply for
unclassified (salaried/administrative) and faculty
positions on-line.
Q3.How
do I apply for a job vacancy?
Q3.Applicants must still apply
for each position in which they are interested.
If you choose to use the on-line system, you
will now complete a master employment application
that you can save, reuse and edit each time that you
apply.
Q4. What
is my unique id and password?
A4. If
you are a current Miami employee, you will use your
MU Unique ID and Munet/Novell password. If you are
not currently employed by Miami University, you will
be asked to complete a short form that will set up
your unique id and password.
Q5. What
if I forget (or do not know) my unique id and password?
A5. If you are currently employed
by Miami University, you would contact the MCIS Help
Desk at (513) 529-7900 and ask them for your MU Unique
ID and Munet/Novell password. If you are not currently
employed, you may use a link on the log-in page to
have that information emailed to you.
Q6. Why
cant I contact the Depatment of Human Resources for my unique
id and password?
A6. The
Depatment of Human Resources does not have access to your password.
Q7. How
can I tell for which jobs I have applied?
A7. When
you log in to My Account a list of all
the open jobs for which you have applied will be listed.
Please note, this only includes the positions for
which you have applied on-line.
Q8. How
will I know if the Depatment of Human Resources received my application?
A8. You will receive
an email notification verifying receipt of your application.
