The Miami Metro provides round-trip bus service between Miami's Hamilton Regional Campus (MUH) and the Oxford campus daily during the academic year. No Metro service is provided during semester breaks, on holidays or during the summer. The buses operate daily when the University is in session, excluding University recognized holidays, from the Monday of the week classes start in August until Friday of final exam week in May.

Why is bus service offered to Hamilton daily, but not Middletown?
About 825 Oxford campus students take Hamilton courses but only about 425 such students take Middletown courses. Looking at student flow in the opposite direction--there are 662 Hamilton campus students taking classes in Oxford while only 253 Middletown campus students are doing so. Additionally, some Oxford students taking Middletown classes do so at off-site locations such as Eaton High School in Preble County, Edgewood High School in Trenton, or even at Warren County Career Center in Lebanon. And some Oxford students stop by the Middletown campus (or at one of the off-site locations) on their way home from student teaching assignments to pick up an evening class.
The regional campuses have to pay for the buses. The Middletown campus once considered adding a shuttle, but the time and distance factor--from the Oxford campus it is 16 miles one way to the Hamilton campus but 25 miles one way to the Middletown campus--and the comparably smaller projected ridership made it cost prohibitive.
